And boy-oh-boy, it works wonderfully – personal story time below!

After fighting stubborn blackheads for years, I finally tried the DIY charcoal mask last week.

The simple mix of activated charcoal, bentonite clay, honey and oil (For some reason I just don’t think this ingredient list would work lol).

Application was messy, but that cooling sensation as it dried? Oddly satisfying.

The next morning, I was SHOCKED.

Those persistent blackheads around my nose? VANISHED lol like magic

Even my forehead texture had smoothed dramatically.

My roommate did a double-take at breakfast. “Did you get some procedure done?”

One week later, I’m still touching my impossibly smooth skin in disbelief. Sometimes the internet actually delivers.

Every time when I try out this mask, I feel like I reboot my skin to a new level. (Plus the pampering feeling)

It’s so soft and clean and somehow my skin tone is more even after doing this for 2 months.

Charcoal face mask ingredients list <3

• 2 tsp. water
• 1 tsp. bentonite clay (Get it here.)
• 1 tsp. activated charcoal powder (Get it here – this one is Amazon choice <3)
• 1/2 tsp. raw honey
• 1 drop of Organic Jojoba oil <-

What is it good for?

Charcoal powder: 

Activated charcoal powder is powerful in pulling out the dirt, chemicals and poisons of your skin. It can dirt out the pores and makes it less visible too!

Bentonite Clay: 

Bentonite is effective in removing the oil and dirt from the skin and it is effective in treating acne as well!

Honey: 

Raw Honey helps balance the bacteria on your skin and it is known to healing the acne and calming inflammation.

Honey also speeds up the skin cells’ healing processes and that is truly amazing for glowing skin!

Jojoba oil: 

Jojoba oil is packed with antioxidants and essential fatty acids to moisturize skin.

With the anti-inflammatory and healing properties, jojoba oil is wonderful in addressing the dryness, flaking, itching of the skin as well!

Steps for DIY:

Step 1: Mix charcoal powder, bentonite clay, honey, jojoba oil and water together in a big bowl

Step 2: Apply to your face for around 10-15 minutes

Step 3: Continue with your daily routine and you should have a smooth skin free of impruities!

15 minutes are more than enough!

When I first come across blue lipstick on Instagram, I just don’t think I can carry it because I just don’t have a cool face.

But as I saw more girls embrace this trend, I just can’t help but try to buy my first dark blue lipstick from Amazon just for fun.

Surprisingly, that’s absolutely wearable for a dressed-up look!

So ladies, if you are wondering what clothes to wear with blue lipstick and look flattering (or at least not awkward) in these looks, here are my 7 ideas!

1. PAIR BLUE LIPS WITH OTHER SHADES OF BLUE

A beginner way to wear blue lips is to wear lipstick with other shades of blue for a harmonious and put-together look.

As we are not used to wearing cool and dark lip colors like blue, wearing blue lips is going to be attention-grabbing.

If you don’t complement the blue with other similar tints, your other facial features like eyes will slightly get muddled.

So, when I wear blue lips, I will always draw a blue eyeliner to pair that up.

Not only does it look more polished, but it also helps your whole face pops up instead of just the lips area.

If you have blue hair, that’s a wonderful way to echo with your lips!

If you want to enrich your look, try to layer different hues of blue instead of the same shade!

If you don’t want to put too much blue on your makeup or hair, no worries, you can always pair a similar hue with clothes.

For me, I don’t usually pair the exact same shade as that look too matchy.

If I am wearing dark matte lipstick, I will always wear a top with a lighter shade of blue.

Not only does it lighten up my makeup, but it also gives a sense of gentleness to the look.

One of the best things about wearing blue lipstick is you can wear pastel blue colors without looking too dreamy!

3. OPT FOR DARKER SHADE OF BLUE TO LOOK MORE PUT TOGETHER

I know it’s so obvious but ladies, let’s avoid the light blue lipstick, shall we? Indeed, there must be someone who can pull off the light blue in a flattering way.

But for me, no matter how many times I tried, this is not working at all.

Not only does that make my teeth look yellower, I just look like a crown in this color.

If I really have to use it, I will always mix my light blue lipstick with the dark blue one so I can build up a more wearable tint of shade.

Not gonna lie, light blue lipstick can be intimidating especially when you first tried the blue lipstick out.

For me, my favorite shade of lip is the velvet dark blue matte finish. It just makes me look special and refined in sophisticated ways! (Plus, whiter teeth also!)

4. PAIR WITH NUDE OR WHITE OUTFITS FOR A REFRESHING LOOK

If you want to look refreshing in blue lips, consider pairing it with nude, white, or beige.

With these neutral colors, it can easily tame down the sharpness of blue and make you look exceptional but not in a tacky way.

If pure white is not your thing, try other off-white colors like vanilla, ivory, cream, and more!

Some of them have a warm tone and they are easy to carry!

Well, you don’t need a lip injection to achieve a plumper lip.

No matter how big or small your lip is, it has its beauty already.

• Draw the lip liner for a more divine and plumper lip shape
• Apply naturally red/ pink lipstick
• Add a little bit of highlight on the center of the lips
• Coat your lips with a thin layer of lip gloss

Some tips actually can hurt if you aren’t doing them in the right way so I rather not recommend them here.

To me, I do think drawing a slightly bigger lip shape is more than enough to highlight the feature!

This YouTuber first showed a wrong example of outlining the lips and then a perfect way.

Need I say more? Red lips are just universally feminine and attractive.

According to Psychological Today, highly attractive women were perceived as even more attractive in red.

So I guess there’s never too much red for the lips!

Plus, this is always an indicator of the confidence level. Bold ladies rock the red, which makes them even more appealing.

6. PICK A FEMININE HAIRSTYLE THAT WORKS FOR YOUR FACE❤️👇🏼

Ladies, your hairstyle MATTERS.

If you have feminine facial features but somehow don’t look feminine, probably your hairstyle is too masculine and this balances out the femininity in your face.❤️

While technically you can look feminine in both short and long hair, if you have a more square jawline, long hair can really hide the lining a lot!

Despite pink, purple eyeshadow is truly one of my favorites. It’s feminine, mysterious, and classy in a sophisticated way.

My mum always said, “If pink is for girls, purple is for ladies”.

For me, I seldom pair the exact same tint of purple with my eyeshadow and top as that can look a bit awkward and rigid.

Some ladies suggest adding some sparkles to the eyelid to spice up the look and I thought that’s a great idea!

A flattering way to do that is to pair different shades of purple together for an enriched look with more layers.

For example, if I am wearing a dark matte purple for my eyes, I will pair it with a lighter shade of purple to freshen up the look.

PRO TIP:

As purple is such a vibrant hue itself, that can look a bit overwhelming if you wear the whole purple suit with purple eyes.

For a low-key look, pair the color of the top instead of the whole outfit – that can work great as well!

Instead of the black or brown smoky eye looks, I love purple more as it just adds a shade of mystery to the face.

Pair purple eyeshadow with black is such a no-fail combination. You can always pair wear some matte gold or silver accessories to add a stylish twist to your look.

My favorite way is pairing it with a gold lace choker, just distinctive!

If black is not your thing, other neutral colors like brown, khaki, navy blue and grey can be a perfect alternative as well.

As a sharp color, wearing purple can easily look flamboyant.

As for the ladies with cool and pale skin tones, the bright white can look best on you!

Despite your outfit, let’s not forget your hairstyle matters too! (Let’s be real, how long you haven’t been trying new hairstyles)

However, as a girl with a chubby face, I just don’t look the best in purple eyeshadow and the turtleneck.

The reason being is purple already accentuates my facial features, with the neck being covered by the turtleneck, which just makes my face look bigger and chubbier.

So I will always avoid the round neck and turtleneck tops and choose V-neck or off-shoulder tops instead.

Second, don’t pair it with the busy print top as that can easily look lousy.

To minimize the risk, choose prints with a small size instead of big vibrant prints.

Don’t get me wrong, you can definitely match purple eyeshadow with prints, all you need to do is choose the right one!

One of the frustrating moments of having a big nose is the time when we take hundreds of selfies and just don’t feel right.

In photos, sometimes our noses can look even bigger and that’s super annoying.

So is that possible to make the nose look smaller in selfies? YES.

The first tip I can tell you is always to avoid the harsh light directly above the head as that will accentuate the facial structure in the middle – aka your nose.

Instead, taking advantage of the warm yellowish light for a soft look is always preferred.

3. FIGURE OUT YOUR BEST ANGLE FOR THE NOSE

Truly, when it comes to a perfect selfie, the angle is EVERYTHING.

You will be amazed at how different you look just by a slight adjustment of angles.

As we all have different shapes and sizes of the nose, there’s no perfect angle that fits everyone.

While some girls find success from high angles, some actually look better with low-side angle shots. So do try to experiment with that.

By the way, if you want to look slimmer in fact, a rule of thumb is 3 inches higher than the height of your eyes!

To make a big nose looks smaller, it’s all about playing tricks on proportion. That said, voluminous hair work WONDERS.

If you are too lazy to curl and style your hair every day religiously, a simple trick is to put all your hair on one side.

Not only it’s universally feminine and attractive to showcase your shoulder, it just draws people’s attention away from your face to your shoulder.

For such a long time, I thought the more hair covers my face, the better I look. Obviously, this is SO WRONG.

I know bangs are cute but let’s not forget they will narrow down the focus and put your nose in the spotlight.

Instead, opt for a hairstyle that can open up the face so your nose can appear to be smaller in comparison.

As a round face girl myself, I must say showing out my forehead boosts my confidence greatly as it helps elongate my face and contour my nose at the same time.

Or else, simply putting your hair behind the ears can do the trick too.

6. OPT FOR LIGHT HAIR OVER DARK HAIR FOR A SOFTER LOOK

With the soft light hair color, it blurs out the frame of your face and nose.

Colors like honey blonde, and light ash brown all work great to create softer, gentler facial features.

With slightly different yet similar hues combined together, it creates more dimension and depth to the hair as a whole.

And yes, it DOES make you look like you have a crazy amount of hair!

Of course, hair color can be very personal as we all have different tones of skin.

If you are dark skin, I would say warm sandy dark hues would be ideal.

But anyway, it’s always worth investing time to figure your best hair color out.

7. AVOID CLOTHES WITH HIGH NECKLINES

Despite the make-up tricks and hairstyles, it’s time to talk about clothes.

As much as I adore the sophistication of high-neck tops, I must say that are not flattering to big-nose girls.

Again, it, unfortunately, draws eyes to your face and nose.

Added to this, a round neck top is also a big No-no.

That said, an off-shoulder top is always been my favorite. If you want to add some spiciness, go try out the low-neck top!

8. CHUNKY ACCESSORIES IS YOUR BEST FRIEND

Accessories are girls’ best friends and this statement just can’t be more right. For girls with big noses, chunky necklaces are the real deal.

Whether you put on statement earrings or a glittery long necklace, it just makes your face and nose look daintier and elevate your aura almost instantly.

Speaking of the chunky choker necklace, that can be risky to wear.

If you have an oval or heart pointy face shape and a long neck, good for you.

But as a girl with chubby cheeks, I will definitely stay away from chocker.

If we are wearing the pigtail with the dungaree dress and Mary Janes, of course, that is – dare we say—too young for most of us.

As a girl with chubby cheeks, I am truly surprised low bun can actually make my face look slimmer!

Low bun to me is always elegant and poised.

Another way to look less childish in a pigtail is the simple yet effective way – complement your look with all sorts of hats!

With the hat, it can easily subdue the youthfulness of the pigtail.

That being said, you can look stylish in a playful way instead of looking childish and dated.

These days, bubble-braid pigtails are in the rage. While this hairstyle is refreshing and unique, they just look too cute for me.

To tame down the look, I will always pair the cool baker boy cap hat with the bubble braid and a pair of combat boots for a slightly edgy style.

And when it comes to outfitting pairing, you can always dress in darker shades for more sophisticated vibes.

Another way is to wear tops or bottoms with a complex or mature pattern like leopard and zebra animal prints, it can always achieve a harmonious balance with the pigtails.

Not gonna lie, this is not as easy as you expected so I will suggest you do this during the lazy Sunday.

So here’s the question: How to look pretty naturally? Is that even possible? Well, it is!

Below, I’ve gathered 20 tips that I’ve all tried and they truly improve my appearance and figure!

Trust me, ladies, all little things add up eventually and when you notice the difference in front of the mirror one day, you’ll be glad that you didn’t give up too soon.

1. Figure out what’s a feminine facial structure

This hit me really hard.

In my early 20s, I used a lot of makeup and I thought that can make me prettier.

But somehow I just didn’t feel right about all those heavy concealers and powder.

It took me a long time to come across some studies that said that your facial appearance has to do with the feminine facial structure.

That’s why our universal beauty standard is all about big eyes and softening jawlines instead of masculine traits like big noses.

Knowing that thoroughly makes me able to do my makeup in the right way.

I opt for dark brown mascara instead of the black one and contour the shape of my eyebrow and WOW, I just look so much different!

2. Do face yoga to uplift your face

I said it a thousand times… Face yoga truly works if you are devoted enough to do it every day for a few minutes.

Think about it, if we will do a workout for our arms and thighs and we see results, strengthing the muscle of the face is the same thing!

According to Healthline, face yoga helps to lift and firm the muscles under the skin, meaning that can smooth lines and wrinkles.

It also helps to boost circulation and improve lymphatic drainage.

Search YouTube videos about face yoga and you can find tons of them to follow.

Seriously, this is a true GEM. Harness the power really!

3. Sleek with silk or satin pillow to avoid wrinkles

I know many of you already know this so yes if you still using the traditional cotton pillow, swap it for a satin or silk one because every woman deserves smooth hair and wrinkles.

Finding the right silk pillow is a tough job (obviously some of them are scams) and I ended up using this Pure Mulberry Silk Pillowcase from Amazon and finally saw the real changes.

This pillowcase is the absolute best if you have any kind of hair shedding or hair loss like me.

4. Apply body lotion

Don’t be those girls with a perfect face but dry hands and legs. That said, I never think body lotion has to be expensive.

CeraVe Moisturizing Cream is my forever favorite, it has hyaluronic acid and ceramides, and most importantly, fragrance-free.

Is that just me applying body lotion before sleep is such a soothing thing to do?

I love it.

Update: This advanced firming cream from iHerb is THE BEST.

5. APPLY RETINOL AT NIGHT

If you are already using tretinoin, skip this point. I am personally still not yet mentally ready for tretinoin so I will use retinol instead.

Retinol is a derivative of vitamin A and it helps refine and resurface the skin to improve its appearance of texture.

I always have uneven skin tone but after using retinol, I feel like my face is brightening up and in general, looks younger!

Again, I prefer affordable skincare products so Cerave Retinol Serum is my go-to.

Go check out the before and after from the reviews as it’s really powerful.

6. Apply Vitamin C serum before applying sunscreen in the morning

This is my last skincare tip, Vitamin C.

It is all thanks to the YouTube algorithm that suggested to me Dr. Anthony Youn’s video.

In his “The Two Products You CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT! ” Video, he said Vitamin C can prevent oxidation aka free radical damage.

Again, I listened and I use it regularly and now I am enjoying the glowing benefit.

I am now 28 and I seriously don’t understand why I can come across this info that late…I hate myself.

Vitamin C is quite pricey but again, I suggest you go for the affordable one when you first get started.

I would say a $19 TruSkin Vitamin C Serum is more than enough.

7. Apply your skin care in the RIGHT direction

This is basic but a useful tip for perfect skin. You will apply skincare every day so that really adds up.

Don’t be too harsh to your face and always apply it upwards to lift up the face.

8. Cook with avocado oil instead of vegetable oils

How to look good and promote beauty in a healthy way?

The quote “You are what you eat” just pretty much explains everything.

I think we all know how eating healthy and minimizing sugar intake can make us look prettier, but what about oils that we actually consume a lot but are not really aware of?

Vegetable oils are rich in omega 6, if we consume too much, it will pose harm to our body cells.

As a result, increases inflammation in the body, and ages your skin.

Plus, most of them are GMO so they are really bad.

I know it sounds dramatic but this is real.

If you can only make one change after reading these 20 tips, I would think changing the vegetable oil to real avocado oil (or other healthy oils depending on your choice) is the easiest yet the most important thing to implement.

9. Drink lemon water every day

You will drink water anyway, so why not add some lemon juice to it?

Not only is it refreshing to drink in the morning, but it’s also the cheapest detoxifier you can get. If you want gradient skin, do it!

Of course, organic lemon is always better. It was slightly expensive but I do think it is worth the money.

10. Wash your hair with apple vinegar

This 1-minute video pretty much sums up every day.

If you don’t give it a go, girl you are missing out!

11. Good posture to look at the phone

How do you look pretty and beautiful naturally?

What about NOT looking at your phone like the lady below?

You may not be aware of that but trust me, sometimes we will really look at the phone like this.

As a girl with a double chin, this tip is huge.

12. Use castor oil for long eyelashes 

This caster oil is another amazing thing I discovered. Believe it or not, I’ve tried it and it works. Not in a dramatic way but I am happy with the result.

But that said, I don’t think it’s for everyone, if you are not patient enough, don’t waste your money.

13. Use perfume with pheromones! 💋💋💋

If you are already using perfume, why not use the one with pheromones that make you extra attractive?

Pheromones are the physical sexual scent that is proven by science. I will recommend this one from Amazon.

Check the reviews and I’m sure you will buy it too… you know, just in case.

Don’t judge ladies, sometimes we just need some extra boost for the dates.

14. Don’t cross the leg if you want perfect slim legs 

BREAK THIS HABIT NOW LADIES.

Why do we need extra pressure on the body and worsen the circulatory of our legs?

That is just not worth it at all. Plus, it will lead to bad posture and more underlying health concerns.

I know you think I’m being too dramatic, but guess what, when you are in your 50s you will know this little habit backfires you.

Google it yourself for more details really.

I’ll be honest, I still cross my leg sometimes even though I know it’s bad. But at least now I am aware of that, progress is key isn’t it?

15. Use the nose contouring tool – especially if u are a teenager!!👩🏻

I always thought it was a lie until my cousin used it and really made a difference.

So yes, a nose-shaper clip is worth the hype, especially since you are still in your growing phase.

My nose is okay so I can’t recommend to you guys which one to buy. Check on Amazon and you’ll find a ton of them!

16. Eat more nuts & fish oil

Eating healthy fats won’t make you fat, sugar will. Nuts are extremely important to provide the right nutrients that support your hair and skin growth.

My favorite has to be the academia nuts as it has a rich Omega 3, which is really RARE!

And guess what, don’t be surprised if your breast size is increased! Again, you are what you eat.

17. WEAR RED DRESS & PASTEL HUES

Colors make a difference and there are countless research states that wearing a red dress is appear to be attractive in people’s eyes.

It also exudes a sense of confidence and it’s so irresistible in men’s eyes.

If red is too bold for you, pastel hues are another lovely choice.

Think pastel pink, baby blue, lavender that make you look sweet and darling.

Seriously, the right color is a real mood booster and carries you differently.

In a world where we love wearing black for the slimming effect, wearing pastel hues just sets you apart from others! It’s extremely feminine.

18. Wearing an off-shoulder top more

Why off-shoulder? Because it’s universally flattering regardless of your shape and size.

By showcasing the shoulder line, you just look sexy in an elegant way.

As a girl with chubby cheeks, wearing off-shoulder just makes my face appear to be smaller. How amazing is that?

It’s pity that if you have a broad shoulder, you should avoid it.

But for the other girls, ROCK THEM!

19. Voluminous hairstyle

A woman is always attractive when she has voluminous glowy hair as it symbolizes good health.

If you have thin hair like me, consider curling it for the illusion!

I will always put all my hair on one side, not only it can open up my face but I can show my shoulder lines when I’m wearing an off-shoulder top too.
