If you haven’t been to Abu Dhabi, well, you should!
While Dubai is significantly more famous by comparison, I personally think Abu Dhabi is the hidden gem.

As the capital city of the UAE, Abu Dhabi is a diverse city, located in the largest and wealthiest of the seven emirates.
From the iconic Louvre Abu Dhabi museum to the breathtaking Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Abu Dhabi is a place full of cultural wonder and depth.

That being said, you should respect the locals and follow the dress code there.
Enjoy!
1. Abu Dhabi Museum Louvre outfit
Alright, the first stop – Abu Dhabi Louvre Museum! 🏛️

This museum is an absolute delight to visit, not only for the display items, but also and above all for the architectural beauty of the structure itself. ✨

The photos can’t do this justice and you should visit this yourself! 📸

This is such a classy and elegant place (The whole museum is in white) so I suggest wearing a billowy maxi dress to match the vibe. 👗

As for shoes, since you will do A LOT of walking, flats or sneakers would be ideal. 👟

2. Abu Dhabi Mosque Sheikh Zayed outfit
Another must-go spot if you visit Abu Dhabi – the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. 🕌

Whether you are religious or not, you will find yourself immersed in the stunning Islamic art and culture and feel a sense of peace when you get there. 🧘♀️

As one of the world’s largest mosques, its architecture is beyond spectacular – with 82 domes, 1000 columns and 24-carat gold-plated chandeliers. ✨
That being said, make sure you follow the dress code to the T. 📝

Visitors, especially ladies, need to dress modestly. 🧕
That day, I already wore a sleeveless maxi dress and had a blue poncho with me to cover the shoulders – but still a NO. ❌

In the end, I bought a pink dress in the souvenir shop to enter. 🛍️
So if you want a smooth entry, make sure you check their website and figure out the dress code!

3. Abu Dhabi beach outfit
Last but not least, going to a tropical place like Abu Dhabi means wearing all your summer dresses!

I’m loving this off-shoulder cut-off dress.
Together with the straw hat, this look is a 10/10 <3

That being said, in public spaces like shopping malls, it’s best to dress modestly.
I wore all my summer dresses the whole trip but I always brought a poncho to cover my shoulders when I entered shopping malls or other tourist spots.

Added to this, lightweight clothing like loose t-shirts and linen shorts are always welcome.
Avoid wearing all black in Abu Dhabi as that just absorbs the heat quickly.
FINAL THOUGHTS:
So there you go my loves – the outfit inspo if you are wondering what to wear to Abu Dhabi!
I hope you will love this city – there’s so much to explore and it’s acutally different from the sterotype!
